Elements and Performance Criteria
Performance Evidence
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:
locates and applies relevant documentation, policies and proceduresimplements the requirements, procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient completion of handling and securing cargo including:planning and preparing equipment, handling and storing cargo, and handling and storing bulk cargoimplement safe working limits when handling and lifting cargo assess, interpret and apply information including technical informationworks effectively with others to undertake and complete handling and securing cargo that meets all of the required outcomes including:using a range of communication techniques and systems to convey information, coordination and meaningdemonstrates completion of handling and storing cargo that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:identifies remedial action to be taken to deal with errors, omissions and shortages for handling and storing cargo demonstrating at least three (3) of the following processes to:report record rectify repair adjust replacehandle, check, move, store cargo and bulk cargo in at least (2) of the following cargo products:fluids powder containers restrained palletised loose palletised tubularscommunicating with the crane operator using appropriate signals to direct movement of loads
